The Client’s Challenges

The client is a US drapery hardware supplier whose products are all manufactured in Guangdong province. The contract with the current OEM is going to expire and the client wants to find a new supplier in Yangtze River Delta. 

Objectives 

To discover the qualified OEMs in Yangtze River Delta;

To evaluate and recommend OEMs that may be potential suppliers to the client. 

Deliverables  (4 weeks)

Longlist of drapery hardware OEMs in Yangtze River Delta; 

Reports of on-site visits of selected OEMs; 

Conduct meetings between the client and recommended OEMs.

Processes 

Basic information collecting of 50 OEMs via telephone calls; 

Conduct 8 on-site interviews and develop detail interview reports; 

Recommended 3 OEMs as potential suppliers to the client.

Results 

The client followed up with the recommended OEMs and launched negotiation of potential collaboration.
